Investigators release names of man, girls found dead in Seymour home

SEYMOUR — The Wisconsin Department of Justice has released the names of the adult and two children who were found dead inside a Seymour home on April 18.

Seymour Police Department were dispatched on April 18 to a residence on the 600 block of North Main Street in Seymour for a report of a domestic disturbance. The initial responding officers attempted to make contact with anyone inside.

After repeated attempts to make contact, assistance was requested from the Outagamie County Emergency Response Team. The Emergency Response Team took over operations and made entry to the residence. Upon entry, 35-year-old Andrew R. Poppe, 4-year-old Matteline A. Samson and 3-month-old Hailey K. Poppe, were all found deceased.

Per the request of the Seymour Police Department, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is leading this investigation.

This was an isolated incident and the public is not in danger, according to the DOJ. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available currently.
