GREENVILLE, Wis. — The Outagamie County Sheriff's is investigating what was an active situation in Greenville on Sunday night.
Deputies responded to Highway 96 after a domestic disturbance call involving a weapon.
Deputies said that a woman called in and said her husband fired shots at her with a handgun, so she and her daughter fled the home.
Officers tried to reach the man by phone and other means for several hours with no response. Around 9:15 p.m., the Sheriff's Office says officers found the man in the home, dead, from a a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Sheriff's Office says it will continue to investigate what happened.
