A Manitowoc woman is recovering tonight after being stabbed at work.  The 37-year-old woman was working at the Golden Flame Restaurant in Manitowoc when she tried to break up a fight but got stabbed in the process.

The call came in around 3:17 Sunday morning.  Police were told an employee had been stabbed in the back at the restaurant on the 2600 block of Custer Street.

When officers arrived they searched a 31-year-old Manitowoc man and found the knife on him.  He was taken to jail and he's facing several charges.  Those potential charges include, injury by negligent use of a dangerous weapon, felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, 3 counts of possession of a schedule II drug and possession of a non-scheduled II drug.

The woman suffered a small stab wound to her lower back.  She was treated on scene by Manitowoc Fire Department personnel and released.
