Green Bay Area Public School District students and faculty in the Sting Cancer group are asking community members to support "Wear Yellow Day" at local workplaces, organizations, and schools on Friday, May 6.

This day was started by Preble faculty member and cancer survivor, Nicholas Nesvacil, in 2004. Sting Cancer has grown from a few students at Preble, to hundreds of students in 27 area schools.

The group's mission is to reduce the effects of cancer by initiating and supporting programs and activities for schools and the surrounding community.

To date, more than 35,000 Wear Yellow Day shirts have been sold in nine years.
