Nominations are now being accepted for the WPS Volunteer Awards.

The WPS Volunteer Awards highlights the accomplishments of deserving recipients and is an exciting celebration of how volunteers are building a better community for all of us.

The Volunteer Awards are organized by the Volunteer Center of Brown County in partnership with WPS. Nominations are due March 3, 2017.

* It is a powerful way to honor the impact that a person or group is having in the community. Each nominee will be invited to attend the awards breakfast free of charge, on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the KI Convention Center. All nominees also will be recognized at the event, which last year drew more than 750 guests!

* Submitting a nomination creates greater awareness of the organization where the volunteer gives their time, talent and energy.

* Recipients and runners-up of the awards will receive a cash prize that they can donate toward the organization of their choice. The youth recipient and runner-up will receive a scholarship.

* Your nominee may be selected by the Volunteer Center as the “Volunteer of the Week” (50 winners featured in the Press-Gazette) or as a recipient of the “Wisconsin Heroes” award during the following year.

The easy-to-complete nomination can be submitted online through the Volunteer Center’s Web site, www.volunteergb.org. A hard copy of the nomination form may be obtained by calling the Volunteer Center at 920-429-9445.
