From Courtney Pelot:

“I am passionate about Scholarship, Service, Success and Style. These four points of the Miss America crown have allowed me the opportunity to learn and grow while continuing my education, serving my community and attaining public speaking skills and confidence that will help me succeed in and out of pageantry.

What social issue, other than your platform, will have the greatest impact on your generation and why? Obesity has had an impact on my generation. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, roughly one third of Americans are obese, partly because Americans are less active and eat more processed, unhealthy foods than prior generations. An emphasis must be placed on living a well-rounded healthy lifestyle, including eating nutritious foods, maintaining an active lifestyle and getting enough rest.”
