Appleton MacDowell Male Chorus, also known as the Men of MacDowell, is a tradition in the Fox Valley with 82 years of exciting and entertaining choral music performances.
Members range in age from 18 to over age 80. All are enthusiastic singers and work together to prepare an entertaining concert which is performed from memory.
They offer many things to the community.
SCHOLARSHIPS -- Annually they do a scholarship competition for young men in area school districts who are interested in pursuing a career in music. They have given out over $50,000 in scholarships, and former scholarship winners are in music careers ranging from education to professional positions in musical theatre.
VETERANS -- This year they are making a special effort to honor those veterans of military service who have so faithfully served our nation. They are offering free tickets for some of their shows.
