Green Bay Police say they were called to St. Mary's Hospital around 8:20 PM because a young man went there to be treated for a gunshot wound.

Police say they believe the victim was shot with either a BB gun or small pellet gun.

According to Lt. VanEgeren the victim, who is 17 years old, was at the hospital with his parents. Police tell NBC26 they were told the shooting happened on the city's west side near Walmart and Sam's Club on West Mason Street.

The victim suffered minor injuries, but so far no one is in custody in connection to the shooting. Police say this does not appear to be a random act and the public is not in danger.
