Wednesday was a big day for NBC26. July 19, 2017 marked the 21st anniversary of our first newscast!

A day after the Oakfield tornado, on July 19, 1996, NBC26 launched its news operations in Northeast Wisconsin.

Cameron Moreland was forecasting the weather from the very beginning, and Stacy Engebretson joined the team in 2000.

While the hairstyles and station logos have changed, one thing remains the same: NBC26's commitment to quality, balanced journalism and the community we serve.

Over the past year, NBC26 won the prestigious regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast for our coverage of the police officer shooting tragedy in Dallas.
