GREEN BAY - Green Bay Police are searching for a man who they say slammed into the front porch of a Green Bay home after trying to elude police for a traffic violation.

Green Bay Police say Ashwaubenon Police tried pulling the vehicle over, that's when Police say the suspect sped off. Police stopped pursuit at Ashland Avenue and Mason Street.

Then, around 1:15 a.m. Thursday a Green Bay Police Officer saw the suspect's vehicle and began pursue it. Police say the suspect then failed to stop at a flashing red light at the corner of Dousman and Ashland and was struck by a car traveling westbound.

The suspect's vehicle lost control, hit a tree and a street sign before slamming into the front porch of a Green Bay home in the 300 block of N. Ashland Avenue.

The driver of the other vehicle did not have life-threatening injuries, but was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

Police say the suspect fled the scene, but the public is not in danger.

Officials say they know who they're looking for and he may live in the area, but have not released his name or age.

Green Bay Police say the man will be charged with speeding, hit and run causing injury and failure to stop at a controlled intersection. He will also face charges from Ashwaubenon Public Safety.
