Gander Mountain has informed the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development of their intention to close nine facilities, affecting 371 employees. The closings will take place on August 30, 2017 or shortly thereafter.
DWD and its regional workforce partners across Wisconsin say they will offer Rapid Response services to the affected workers.
Among the stores closing is the Green Bay location. There are 39 affected employees at store. The Gander Mountain location in Grand Chute also announced earlier this year it would be closing.

- Madison/DeForest 6199 Metro Drive, DeForest, WI 53532 57 affected employees
- Waukesha 2440 E. Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha, WI 53186 39 affected employees
- Wausau/Rothschild 1560 County Road XX, Rothschild, WI 54474 51 affected employees
On March 9, 2017, Gander Mountain filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
