Fire crews said a barn and farm equipment were destroyed in an overnight fire in Calumet County.

The call came in around 9:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Manitowoc Road and Highway 55 in the Village of Harrison.

When crews arrived on scene they found flames shooting from the barn.

Firefighters said when they entered the building they found a skid-steer on fire which they believe spread to the straw inside the barn.

"It's unfortunate for the owner," said Chief Amos Mikkelson with Harrison Fire Rescue. "I don't know how much of the other equipment will be salvageable. I think the barn and the one piece are gone, it's still going to be hard for them."

No animals were inside the building.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
