There's still time for your child to attend the 2016 SAFETY TOWN program coordinated by the Center for Childhood Safety. Registrations are currently being accepted for sessions beginning June 13.
Safety Town introduces safety awareness to young children, ages 4-9, in a safe, entertaining and educational environment. Two separate classes are offered, one for 4 - 6 year olds and a second for 7 - 9 year olds. Children begin to evaluate "safe from unsafe" and learn how to react safely when confronted with potentially dangerous situations. SAFETY TOWN offers a classroom segment, as well as hands-on experience on the streets of the specially designed, child-sized SAFETY TOWN.
Safety topics include:
-Fire Safety/Smoke House/911
-Pedestrian & Parked Car Safety
-Booster/Car Seat Safety
