Three people have been charged in a Sheboygan County animal cruelty case that a prosecutor described as one of the worst cases he's seen.

Christy Tuchel, Breanna Mikula and Anthony Keyport are facing a combined 113 charges for allegedly mistreating dogs at a kennel in the Town of Wilson.

Mikula is Tuchel's daughter.

In June, the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office said it found dozens of dogs in bad shape at the Kinship Companions Kennel. They also found dozens of dead dogs in a freezer on the property, according to court documents.

Tuchel's teenage son told investigators he was the only one taking care of the dogs for quite some time, a criminal complaint said.

Tuchel declined to comment after court Tuesday.

The dogs rescued from the kennel are doing better, according to the Sheboygan County Humane Society. Some are at the shelter, while others are being fosterd.
