The Oshkosh Police Department Vice and Narcotics Unit, in conjunction with the Neenah Police Department, arrested a 53-year-old woman who is a national Chinese citizen on Friday after Oshkosh Police responded to an ad placed on the social media website, Back Page.
Investigators arrested the woman at the Parkway Motel in Neenah. During the investigation it was learned that the woman had traveled from China to New York City. On Jan. 21, the woman took a plane from New York City to Milwaukee. The woman then made her way to Neenah.
The investigation has led to a suspected human trafficking incident. Advocates in Winnebago County are interviewing the woman to determine if this suspicion is true. No further information is being released at this time pending the ongoing investigation.
