Investigation into gunshot wound victim leads to cocaine arrest

OSHKOSH, Wis. — An Oshkosh Police investigation into a man with a gunshot wound to his foot led officers to arrest a woman for possession with intent to deliver cocaine, police say.

According to a news release, a 27-year-old Oshkosh man showed up to a local hospital on Wednesday night with a gunshot wound to his foot. As investigators interviewed the man, police say there were several inconsistencies with his story.

Police say officer executed a search warrant at a home on the 1400 Block of 2nd Avenue, where they ultimately arrested a 43 year old woman for possession with intent to deliver cocaine. Police say the man got his injury at that home.

Police say this is an isolated incident. Authorities did not reveal the nature of the relationship between the man and the woman.
