UPDATE:

According to the Menasha Police Dept. around 5:30 p.m. a Village of Fox Crossing Officer observed a traffic violation near Appleton Road and Ninth Street. The driver was stopped in the 1100 Block of Geneva Road.

Police say during the traffic stop a male passenger and two-year-old child exited the vehicle and went inside an apartment of an acquaintance. According to police, the male party had provided false information about his identity and he had active warrants for his arrest.

Officers attempted to contact him inside the apartment however he refused to communicate with officers.

Police say their primary concern was for the two-year-old child. They located the child in an upstairs bedroom. However, entry into the bedroom from the inside was not possible. Officers were able to use a ladder and removed the child from the second story of the apartment.

There were no injuries to anyone at the scene.

The male subject with the warrants is still at large.
