OSHKOSH, Wis. - As the temperatures drop, warming shelters are filling with people in need. To help serve the homeless population in Oshkosh, AT&T donated $5,000 to the Day By Day Warming Shelter Friday.
The Day By Day Warming Shelter provides safe, temporary shelter, food and services to the homeless population in Oshkosh.
“Many times, we don’t realize homelessness is a problem within our own community,” said Lorraine Yarbrough, Executive Director of Day By Day Warming Shelter, in a press release. “Our vision is to not only be a shelter for those who are homeless, but also a place for second chances. We are very grateful to the AT&T Pioneers not only for this generous $5,000 contribution to support our mission, but also for the countless volunteer hours they have put in to help Oshkosh’s homeless.”
In addition to the $5,000 donation, the AT&T Pioneers have volunteered at the shelter and participated in fundraising projects.
