Appleton Police are looking for the people involved in a disturbance where someone shot a gun from a fleeing vehicle in the city's downtown area.

Around bar-close on the morning of Sunday, October 15, Appleton Police responded to several disturbance calls near the 500 block of W. College Avenue.

Later, at 4:02 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of W. Johnson St. and N. State Street for the report of another disturbance where someone allegedly showed and fired a handgun, police said. There were no injuries reported.

Officers who responded found several people from an earlier disturbance in the area and they were not cooperative with police.

Witnesses told police there was a disturbance involving men and woman, and one witness saw a man point a handgun toward the crowd before handing the gun to another man, officers said.

The two got into a silver, four-door vehicle and fired the gun in the direction of people involved in the disturbance as they were leaving, according to police.
