The Ryder Cup has been officially postponed until next year.
The announcement on the official Ryder Cup website says the 43rd Ryder Cup, scheduled for September 22-27, at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin, has been rescheduled for September 21-26, 2021.
This follows yesterday's report from ESPN about the postponement. Following yesterday's report, Sheboygan County Sheriff Cory Roeseler issued this statement:
"It is unfortunate that the Ryder Cup had to postpone until next year but based on recommendations of public health due to COVID-19, postponing it is in the best interest of public safety at this time. We will continue to plan for next year's event."
The 2020 Ryder Cup has been postponed.
