An appeal was denied Friday by the WIAA for 8 of De Pere's 10 sectional qualifying wrestlers.
The 8 wrestlers were ruled ineligible to compete in the WIAA Division 1 Kaukauna sectional Saturday because of exceeding a schedule limit during the season.
Wrestlers cannot exceed 14 events in a season, per WIAA rules.
On Friday, the WIAA voted 5-2 to deny De Pere's appeal, according to Todd Clark with the WIAA.
