Jared Kushner Likely Directed Mike Flynn To Contact Russian Officials

Former national security adviser Mike Flynn has agreed to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling. That could be bad news for one member of President Donald Trump's inner circle.

According to court documents released Friday, "a very senior member" of Trump's transition team directed Flynn to contact Russian and other foreign officials to delay or defeat a U.N. vote condemning Israeli settlements. Reports indicate that person is likely to be White House senior adviser Jared Kushner.

CNN says the documents show a coordinated effort to contact Russian officials and influence international policy.

Kushner already seems to be an important figure in Mueller's investigation, as well as other Russia investigations on Capitol Hill. The New York Times reports that Mueller's team briefly interviewed Kushner in November and could be called to interview again.
