Fire officials said three people were treated and taken to the hospital after an apartment fire in De Pere on February 18th at 12:01 a.m. None have life threatening injuries, six police officers were checked for smoke inhalation, and one resident is being assisted by the Red Cross.
Crews said the estimated damage is $25,000. De Pere Fire Rescue responded to an apartment on 550 S. Ninth St. and according to officials, there was smoke filling seven other apartments in the building.
Although the cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said fire damage was confined to one apartment and there was smoke damage to the remainder of the complex.
Emergency crews from Ashwaubenon, Lawrence, Hobart and EMS units from County Rescue, Green Bay Metro, and Ashwaubenon all assisted the De Pere fire department.
