Stove causes fire at home near Wrightstown

A burner left on a kitchen stove is thought to be the reason for an early morning fire at a Wrightstown home Monday morning.

Fire crews were called to the 4000 block of Lost Dauphin Rd. around 2 a.m.

They were able to enter the home while the homeowner slept inside.

"He appears to be okay. He will not be staying here this evening, just due to residual smoke that's left over inside," said Assistant Fire Chief Mark DeCleene for Greenleaf Fire Department.

Fire crews did not specify when the man could return to his home. He was the only one inside the home at the time of the fire.
