Fond du Lac County man charged with racketeering, felony theft

A Fond du Lac County man has been charged with racketeering and felony theft charges that stem from an investigation alleging a $14 million dollar theft from a Fond du Lac business. 

Fond du Lac County District Attorney, Eric J. Toney, states in a press release that Sterling Kienbaum, was arrested on March 3, 2017. 

He faces charges of Racketeering and felony Theft and is expected in court Monday, March 6 at 11 a.m. 

Toney states that the allegations stem from a Fond du Lac Police Department investigation alleging a $14 million theft from Sadoff's Iron Metal between 2009 and May of 2015.  

According to the criminal complaint, Kienbaum, the owner of Fox Valley Iron and Metal, made cash payments to Daniel Christianson, a former employee of Fox Valley Iron and Metal, for the purpose of receiving payments from Sadoff's Iron Metal for dirt purported to be scrap automobile.
