Silver Alert canceled for missing Kenosha man

UPDATE: Mr. Istvanek and his Yorkie Cinnamon were found safe in Illinois and this alert has been canceled.

A Silver Alert has been issued for 82-year-old Charles (Charlie) Istvanek of Kenosha.

Charles is described as a white male, 5'4" and weighing approximately 134 pounds. He has short gray hair and brown colored eyes.

Charles was last seen wearing tattered blue jeans, a black Wall (the brand) jacket, dark winter boots and a blue baseball hat. He also wears eyeglasses and has a scruffy beard.

Charles was last known to be at 33rd Avenue in Kenosha at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5.

Reports say he was following his daughter back to his own home when he got lost.

He is driving a dark blue 2002 GMC Sonoma with the Wisconsin license plate number HF2905.

There is a cap on the back of the vehicle and a sticker that says, "Yes, I smell like a horse. No, I don't consider this a problem."

Charles has his Yorkie, Cinnamon, with him.

Reports say he previously worked at Petrifying Springs in Kenosha.
