MADISON, Wis. — After Shopko announced it is closing dozens of stores across the country, the company has given formal notice for layoffs at two stores in Madison.
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced Friday it received a WARN (Wisconsin Business Closing and Mass Layoff ) notice from Shopko.
Shopko says the stores at 2201 Zeier Road and 7401 Mineral Point Road will close in April. Shopko says all 63 employees will be let go.
Earlier this week, Shopko announced it was filing for bankruptcy.
