Police need help to identify attacking dog

UPDATE: The dog has been located.

 

 

The Manitowoc Police Department is asking the public to help find a brown and tan German Shepard that attacked a man Monday.

Police say the attack happened around 10:15 a.m. on the 3000 block of Menasha Avenue when a 54 year old from the Francis Creek area was bitten three times while attempting to get into his vehicle.

The man says he heard a jingle as the dog approached, indicating it had a collar. 

The dog was last seen running East bound through yards in the 1400 block of N. 24th Street. 

The victim received first-aid treatment for minor injuries.
