Life threatening injuries reported after woman hit by a truck in Green Bay

Green Bay police report a 51-year old woman is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a box truck on West Mason Street Wednesday morning.

Several witnesses told officers on the scene the woman appeared to run into the street. "It doesn't appear that she was trying to cross the street," Green Bay Police Lt. Lody Buth told NBC26. "It appears at this point that what several witness told us that she was running right at vehicles."

An accident reconstruction team was called out to the scene to assist with the investigation. Westbound traffic on W. Mason St. was closed between Country Club Rd and La Count Rd. for several hours.
