TOWN OF ALTO, Wis—One man is dead after a crash in Fond du Lac County.
It happened around 5:45 p.m. Monday on Highway AW and Oak Grove Road.
A vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Waupun man crossed the centerline, and hit another vehicle head-on. He was transport by Flight for Life to Aurora Hospital in Summit with serious injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The second car was being driven by a 52-year-old woman from Waupun. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two passengers were also in the car. A 17-year-old was taken to a hospital, and a 23-year-old man died at the scene. It is unknown if the two surviving occupants in the second vehicle were wearing seatbelts. The 23-year-old man was not wearing a seatbelt.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
