A 14-year-old New Richmond girl is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide after authorities say she biked to the house of her brother's girlfriend in the middle of the night, went inside, then beat the girl and slit her throat.

A criminal complaint filed Thursday says the girl told authorities she was a "psychopath" and wanted the victim to be her "first kill."

The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports police found the 15-year-old victim on a bedroom floor Wednesday morning bleeding heavily from the face and neck.

The victim said she was in bed when she was attacked and cut with shards from broken bowls.

She was seriously injured.

The 14-year-old girl is in juvenile custody. She allegedly told police she wanted to scare the victim to leave the area.
