The NBC26 crew was out serving for a cause!
Digital Content Producer Marisa DeCandido, along with anchors Stacy Engebretson and Jon Erickson were guest servers at Texas Roadhouse on Oneida Street.
Everyone who came in for lunch on Thursday got to eat for free, but all tips given to the guest servers will benefit the American Cancer Society.
Kathy Mckindles stopped by for lunch to show her support, after recently losing her husband to lung cancer.
"Its like getting a baseball bat upside the head and then when you go through it and you're okay for a little while and then you hear it again its the same thing all over again," said Kathy Mckindles. "So to come and support the American Cancer Society is why we came in today for lunch"
Thursday's event was able to raise about $6,500 for the American Cancer Society.
