Police in suburban Detroit are searching for a man after a violent outburst at a McDonald’s restaurant.

An overnight shift manager at a McDonald's location in St. Clair Shores, Michigan says an angry customer poured his hot coffee on her through the drive-thru window.

Angela Agents says three men pulled up in a gray Ford minivan. One of the men got upset with the bill and got out of the car.

“He thought I charged him for something, and I explained to him I didn't charge you and I’d be happy to ring you up the way you want," Agents said.

Agents says she closed the window and latched it, but the man began banging on the window so hard he broke the latch. He then opened the window and poured his hot coffee on her.

Agents says she was uninjured during the incident. Coffee got on her sweater, but she was able to change.

After driving off, Agents says the men  began calling the store harassing employees over the phone.

She says the men drove off in the older model minivan.
