On Saturday, Mishicot Main Street Auto is closed but on Saturday, it’s been busy inside.
"We're working on the carpet inside. He's in there trying to vac it out. If it doesn't take, well, we'll have to take all the carpeting out of the building,” said Terry Ernst.
Owner Terry Ernst says he and others have been cleaning up after his business was hit with water.
"I've been here 17 years, and we've never seen the water come up this high,” said Ernst.
As the water kept rising, Ernst did everything he could to protect his business.
"We were worried about a lot of things being damaged from the water, but we had enough time to put equipment up on the hoist and stuff like that, so we did save a lot of things, “said Ernst.
Now cleanup efforts are the main focus.
"It's going to be a long week. You know, that sort of thing,” said Ernst.
People are still counting their blessings.
"We're lucky that we have some helpers, some good guys here that are helping out and doing a lot of the work,” said Ernst.
