On Friday in the early afternoon, Manitowoc Police responded to the 900 block of South 11th Street for a suspicious death investigation.
About an hour later, after a high speed pursuit through Manitowoc, a person related to the case was taken into custody by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office on North 10th Street at Maritime Drive.
The person is being held at the Manitowoc County Jail on a Probation/Parole warrant. Other charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
Police say the public is not in any danger regarding this incident.
The police department is being assisted by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office, Manitowoc County District Attorney’s Office, Manitowoc Fire Department, the State of Wisconsin Crime Lab and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Police have scheduled a press conference regarding an update on the incident for Monday afternoon.
