Several University of Wisconsin-Platteville students are being monitored for possible coronavirus infections.

six UW-Platteville students are being monitored for the infection that has killed more than a dozen people in China.
The students, who traveled from China, show no signs of the illness but are being monitored as a precautionary measure.
TODAY'S TMJ4 reached out to nearly a dozen universities and colleges in Southeast Wisconsin. The schools that responded, including University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Marquette University, do not have any coronavirus related cases, but say they are watching the outbreak closely.
Meanwhile, the City of Milwaukee Health Department announced Thursday that they are monitoring the situation as a precaution.
The Centers for Disease Control said people are at risk for the virus if they've been to the Wuhan province of China or come in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case.
The first case of the virus was confirmed in the United States mid-January. The CDC said the patient had returned from a visit from the Wuhan province on Jan. 15. The virus causes respiratory illnesses, including pneumonia.
The virus has now infected over 300 people around the world. The CDC began screening for the virus at international airports in San Francisco, New York, LAX, Atlanta, and Chicago.
