FOND DU LAC — The Fond du Lac Humane Society provided an update Monday on a dog found abandoned and extremely emaciated last week.
According to a Facebook post from the Humane Society, the dog, whom they named Achilles, is slowly making a recovery. He is able to eat small meals and has gained weight. The Fond du Lac Humane Society said he is now able to take medications that will provide him relief.
Staff are working on removing fleas and intestinal parasites, treating his ear infections, and planning a surgery to remove the benign tumor in his ear.
