DE PERE (NBC26) -- Two people are displaced after a house fire in De Pere.
The fire department received the call early Thursday morning about a fire on the 700 block of Ridgeway Boulevard.
When crews arrived on scene they found large flames on the outside of the house.
A couple that was home at the time got out safely.
Firefighters say the fire was knocked down relatively quickly but the heat did cause some trouble.
"We had to rotate firefighters in and out doing work," said Eric Johnson with the De Pere Fire Department. "They were getting overheated relatively easy with the temperatures we have and the humidity."
A firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
