DE PERE — The deaths of two people found in their De Pere home are now being investigated as a murder-suicide, De Pere police said Wednesday.
De Pere Police said the bodies of Gerald R. Linzmeier and Sharon A. Linzmeier were found in their home Sunday night. Police had originally gone to the home for a welfare check.
Police said both had sustained gunshot wounds from a small caliber handgun and were pronounced dead at the scene. The handgun was recovered at the home. The investigation has revealed this to be a murder-suicide, police said, with Gerald being the victim.
Sharon Linzmeier was 64-year-old. Gerald Linzmeier was 65-year-old. Police say the married couple was found in one of the bedrooms in the house.
