MENOMINEE, Mich. (NBC 26) -- A 17-year-old boy in Menominee, Michigan is accused of threatening a school. Police have taken him into custody.
According to Menominee City Police Department, Blesch Intermediate School was put on yellow alert for a possible threat Wednesday morning. Students and staff sheltered in place. Law enforcement came to the school and found the site was secure.
Police say an investigation led to officers to take a 17-year-old into custody for making a threat. Police say the school, students, staff and public were never in imminent danger. Police don't believe anyone else was involved.
