FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. — Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is reminding drivers to slow down as roads become covered with snow.
The Sheriff's Office posted a dash cam video on Tuesday showing a close-call incident that happened Christmas Day, in which a deputy was nearly hit by a vehicle sliding out of control.
The Sheriff's Office says the deputy was on the side of the road, along Highway 151 near Winnebago Drive, to help another driver who had slid into a ditch.
The Sheriff's Office says this video serves as a great example of people driving too fast for winter driving conditions, potentially putting lives at risk.
Drivers are advised to drive slow and take your time on the road.
