Second confirmed coronavirus case in Marinette Co.

MARINETTE CO. (NBC 26) -- Marinette County Public Heath reports a second confirmed case of coronavirus Tuesday evening.

Public Health says they are in the process of identifying and contacting anyone who has been in close contact with the individual.

With no current medicine or vaccines to treat or prevent coronavirus, the Marinette Co. Public Health reminds everyone to follow simple guidelines to staying safe:

  • Stay home when sick
  • Frequent handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces
  • Practice social distancing-6 feet from others
  • Avoid public gatherings of more than 10 persons
