GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Green Bay Police say two people were injured in a single vehicle crash Monday morning which sent one into the Fox River.
Officers say the crash happened about 5:30 a.m. in the area of Main Street Bridge.
Green Bay Police say the driver, a 17-year-old girl, hit the guard rail on the bridge which sent the vehicle's passenger into the Fox River. A citizen in a fishing boat found the passenger flung from the vehicle and helped to get her out of the water.
According to the report, both the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver faces a charge of Operating While Intoxicated.
The crash is still under investigation.
