APPLETON (NBC 26) -- Outagamie County announced Wednesday it will require people wear face masks at its administrative facilities. The policy will go into effect July 13.

The county states in a news release that workers and volunteers will be required to wear face masks at county facilities, on county grounds, or other places where services are delivered, such as home visits. This applies to both indoors and out.

The county says in the news release that staff in solo workspaces, or in outdoor spaces where workers are separated by at least six feet, or a physical barrier, will be exempted.

Anyone moving through a public area of an Outagamie County facility must wear a face covering. Those without masks who are visiting the county’s downtown campus will be provided with a face covering.

The county says anyone refusing to wear a protective mask will be denied entry.
