OSHKOSH (NBC 26) -- The Oshkosh Area School District said Tuesday it received a generous donation from Oshkosh Rotary Southwest toward the school district's free meal program.
Oshkosh Rotary Southwest donated more than $3,500 to support the school district's ongoing Free Grab-and-Go Meal Program. The school district stated in a news release that the donation will allow the district to feed non-school-aged siblings and family members of OASD students.
The program has increased its services since the coronavirus pandemic prompted a shutdown of schools.
Oshkosh Rotary Southwest recently presented the district with the funds, which included a $750 donation from the organization, as well as $1,700 from Fox Valley Savings Bank, $1,000 from Mills Fleet Farm, and $200 from a Rotarian couple.
