The Appleton Fire Department has announced the official Mitch Lundgaard memorial shirt is now available.
The online sale is now underway and ends July 7th. All profits will go to the Lundgaard family.

There are options to order a short sleeve t-shirt, long sleeve t-shirt or hooded sweatshirt. Orders will be available for pickup on Saturday July 20th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
There will be two pickup locations. Either Fire Station #1 on Drew Street or Fire Station #2 on Matthias Street in Appleton.

According to Brad Brautigam with the Friends of Appleton Fire Department, the thin red line flag is a symbol used by the fire service to remember firefighters killed in the line of duty. The whole flag itself represents the last bit of strength and courage before a firefighter goes into a life-threatening situation, where they may not return, for the benefit of someone else.
To honor Lundgaard's memory, the fire department is going to have a duty shirt to wear until 2020 when Mitch is memorialized at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
