MENASHA (NBC 26) -- A 27-year-old Greenville man is accused of sexually assaulting a child. Menasha Police said the man was a substitute teacher in the Menasha Joint School District, as well as other school districts, over the past year.
Menasha Police said they were investigating this case over the past few weeks after receiving reports of possible abuse. Police said school officials worked with the Wisconsin Department of Instruction to suspend the suspect's ability to have contact with children in the Wisconsin school system.
Menasha Police said they are working with law enforcement agencies in other jurisdictions as there may be other victims not only in Menasha, but in other locations in the Fox Valley.
The Winnebago County District Attorney's Office is reviewing specific charges of first degree sexual assault in the case. The suspect was not named in a news release from Menasha Police.
