KEWAUNEE COUNTY (NBC 26) -- The Wisconsin DNR said Tuesday its assessing a manure runoff into a ditch in the town of Carlton near Kewaunee.
DNR says the property owners, Wakker Dairy, are currently working to clean up the spill.
The ditch flows into Sandy Bay Creek near County Road J and Highway 42. The DNR says neighbors near the farm should monitor well water for changes in taste, smell and color.
If water changes occur, the DNR advises switch to an alternate water source and contact Sara Fry, DNR Water Supply Specialist, at 920-662-5147.
