GREEN BAY — The driver charged with the hit-and-run death of a Green Bay man sentenced to 10 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision.

29-year-old Barry Watters, Jr. pleaded no contest to charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and hit and run involving death.

Investigators say 47-year-old Russel Owen was riding his bike in March of 2018 when he was struck by an SUV driven by Watters, who then fled the scene.

Owen died several days later.
