KEWAUNEE COUNTY (NBC 26) — A man has died after being injured in a crash last week that involved three vehicles.

According to the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened Thursday morning around 11:06 a.m. in the town of Luxemburg.

The driver of a 2018 Red Ford Escape was turning eastbound on STH 54 at County Line Road. The Sheriff's Department said the vehicle's driver, 92-year-old Roland DeCremer from Luxemburg, failed to yield to an eastbound 2015 International semi-truck. DeCremer’s vehicle hit the side of the semi-truck. After striking the semi, the Sheriff's Department said a westbound-heading 2007 Silver Buick Rendezvous struck DeCremer’s vehicle.

DeCremer and his passenger were stuck and had to be removed by firefighters. They were both taken to a medical facility in Green Bay.

The Sheriff's Department said DeCremer died Wednesday from complications related to his injuries. The department said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The crash is still being investigated.
